Purpose of the scheme
Tomato/chilly and other vegetables can be produced more than raw Mandap gate cultivation. A scheme has been launched by the government for this. The objective of this scheme is to provide assistance to the farmer cultivating tomato/chilli and other vegetables through kacha mandap.
Eligibility and Rules of the Scheme
Certain eligibility of assistance scheme has been fixed for trellises of raw mandap tomato/chilli and other vegetables. Which are as follows.
- The scheme is available to General, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe farmers.
- A farmer can take the benefit of this scheme maximum 3 times.
- The farmer has to use 1600 pieces per hectare of wood or bamboo supports for kacha mandap.
- The farmer has to use 400 kg GI wire per hectare of 12-18 gauge.
- The farmer has to keep an approximate distance of 2.50 x 2.50 meters for the semi-paved mandap.
- Farmers holding more than 1.00 hectares of area to avail assistance for raw mandap component of vegetable crops
- If desired, Micro Irrigation System (MIS) will have to be adopted compulsorily.
- A farmer is eligible for assistance up to a maximum of 2.0 hectares per account.

Farmers have to apply online through the i-Khedoot portal to avail benefits under the assistance scheme for trays of raw mandap tomato/chilli and other vegetables. For that you have to apply by following below steps.
